OceanSaver Ballast Treatment Systems are controlled by PLC. OceanSaver BWTS can be operated as integrated part of Ship Automation System or as a separate system (stand-alone). Interface against OceanSaver controlled valves, instruments, equipments etc. are done with hardwired connection to OceanSaver Electrical Interface Cabinet (EIC). Other equipments are communicated with modbus and Profinet. Internal communications between EIC and operator computer log are done over Profinet. EIC have interface with instruments and equipment installed in hazardous area.
OceanSaver BWTS needs position feedback of ship cargo valves. Interface to ship cargo control are done by multicore cables. EIC are equipped with UPS and can manage voltage drop without shutting down. Interface to Ship Automation System and/or Power Management System is done by hardwired multicore cable to EIC. Interface can also be done over modbus, Profibus or Profinet.
OceanSaver operator computer is located in Cargo Control Room, where information and status about OceanSaver BWTS are shown in the HMI. Log reports can be viewed and printed from OS HMI.
