Sea Trials

The Ocean Saver system has been the subject of long-term sea trials on board two vessels operating in very different environments. Leif Høegh & Co operates a world-wide fleet of car carriers, sailing on routes linking the Far East and Western Europe as well as other major markets. Ocean Saver was installed on board the MV Höegh Trooper in 2005 and has operated successfully.

Fednav Ltd operate bulkers, particularly in the environmentally vulnerable Great Lakes area of North America. The MV Federal Welland received the Ocean Saver system in its port side tank no. 4 while in dry-dock in 2005. The system had performed well.

These sea trials have proved so successful that they have led to Leif Höegh & Co AS ordering Ocean Saver units for ten further vessels.
